The Building Safety Act 2022 introduced the concept of the Accountable Person (AP) and Principal Accountable Person (PAP) for all higher risk buildings (HRBs) — residential buildings at least 18m high or with at least 7 storeys containing at least 2 residential units. Key Duties Registration : All existing HRBs must be registered with the Building Safety Regulator.
