Fire Safety Information Readiness Review
A deterministic review of which fire safety information you hold, which is missing and which is unknown for one building, bound item by item to the exact provision of UK legislation that puts it in scope. It produces no score, no grade and no compliance verdict.
What this page no longer publishes
The former Magnus Index composite score has been withdrawn. It combined unlike statutory duties and self-declared controls into a single 0-100 number using weights, divisors and band boundaries that had no empirical validation, and its sub-metric values were requested from a generative model with invented fallback figures. No score, grade, band, trend or benchmark is published in its place.
Your building
Nothing you enter leaves your browser. No name, address, email or contact detail is asked for, stored or sent, and the review is not saved anywhere.
What information do you hold?
“Unknown” is a valid answer and stays unknown in the result. Nothing is assumed either way.
Whether an item is in scope is decided only by the legislation recorded in this register and the facts you enter. You cannot mark a statutory item as not applicable to your building on this page, and this page cannot decide that for you either.
Statutory reference for these items
The indexable purpose of this page is its static, non-personalised statutory reference: the information items a UK building stakeholder can be asked to evidence, each bound to a named provision with the official link and the date that page was read. The review itself runs entirely in the browser, stores nothing and produces no personalised page for search engines to index.
Is a current fire risk assessment for these premises held and available to the person responsible for them?
Fire risk assessment information · England, Wales
- fso2005.a9.assessment
A documented answer records only that information exists. It does not evidence fire performance, tenability, evacuation adequacy, fire resistance, smoke control, firefighting access or compliance with the Building Regulations, and it is not a competent-person assessment.
Are the significant findings of that assessment, and the measures taken or to be taken, recorded in writing?
Records and recorded information · England, Wales

Has it been confirmed and recorded which fire safety instrument applies to these premises in this jurisdiction?
Records and recorded information · England, Wales
- fso2005.a1.extent
Extent is not application. A recorded extent statement does not determine that a particular provision reaches these premises; that is a competent-person reading of the instrument.

Is the determination of whether this building meets the higher-risk description recorded, with the facts it relied on?
Higher-risk building regime information (England) · England
- bsa2022.s65.hrb
- bsa2022.s115.unit
The determination itself is a competent-person reading of the statutory description. This review records only whether such a determination exists in writing.

Withdrawn datasets
These are the datasets that fed the former composite indicator. They are recorded here with their evidence status so the withdrawal is auditable, and none of their values is published.
Compliance Heatmap evidence gate
Compliance Heatmap evidence: 0 of 44 rows carry the provenance required for publication. Every row is shown as an indicative Magnus compilation and none is presented as verified.
No local authority is ranked, compared or described as safer or less safe than another.
Methodology & boundaries
The review is a lookup, not a calculation. Each item carries the jurisdictions, lifecycle phases and building uses it is recorded for. Where an item is gated on a statutory description — the England higher-risk building description, or the England high-rise residential description — the gate uses the same shared classification logic as the other Magnus modules, so no competing threshold exists in this product.
Limitations
- Only the items recorded in this register are reviewed. The register is not a complete statement of any duty holder's obligations.
- Applicability is determined from the facts you enter. Where a fact needed for a statutory description is missing, applicability is reported as unknown and never assumed in either direction.
- An item marked as documented records only that information exists. Its adequacy, currency and technical content are not assessed.
- No British Standard, BS EN, PAS, ISO or Approved Document provision is used, quoted or interpreted anywhere in this review.
- The provision text shown is the text read from the official page on the recorded source-check date. This tool does not reconstruct the text or the legal status of a provision at any other date, and does not determine continued force, amendment, repeal or revocation.
This review is information only. It is not legal advice, not a fire risk assessment, not a fire strategy, not an engineering assessment, not a compliance report and not a regulatory approval. It cannot tell you whether a building is safe, and holding every item listed here does not evidence compliance with any duty.
